Flat tire blues - HNT#26
This is Miss Priscilla!
Last night I pulled Miss P out of the bike locker, into the elvator, and out onto my balcony for summer maintenance. I pumped up the tires and went back into the apartment to fetch a pail of water to giver her a bath...when I got back to the balony all of the air was out of the front tire again...boo! So my planned bikeride will have t obe postponed until I can get her fixed.
This will be the third summer I've had her, and her second flat tire...not a good track record. But I still love her...how could I not? She's so darn good lookin'!!!

Don't ya just love rolling along with the wind in your hair? Sidewaysagain & I get out our bikes throughout the year here in Sunny So Cal, so maintenance is essential every once in a while. I've had my wheels since 1985 and I had to replace my tires this past spring as they had degraded into a bunch of broken rubberbands during our brief raniny season winter past. BTW I love the photo of your reflection in the CD and I plan to copy it soon. After all, it's the sincerest form of flattery, right?
AWWW a few bucks will fix that tire! Don't you love summer bike rides? That was the best part about being a kid. :-) HHNT!

Hey if you are getting flat tires due to holes in the tube there are only 2 things that can be wrong. Either the tube is not being installed properly and it is being pinched (and punctured) when inflated or there is something sharp on your rim that is causing the hole.
