Childhood regression!

I am completely obsessed with one of my favorite childhood passtimes...LEGO! It may seem a bit odd that a 27 year-old spends a few minutes each day sitting cross legged on the living room carpet, building, unbuilding, and building again, various random items out of small plastic blocks, but that is just what I have been doing for the last few weeks. I spend a little bit of time each day when I get home from work playing with my lego, and it has proven to be a very effective means of stress relief. I don't even have to worry about putting it away in between because I live alone - there is no one else here to step on it or kick it all over the place...I'm just sad that I had not rediscovered my passion for lego while I was still in school...

Peter Pan has a secret!

Peter Pan went to Never Neverland so he wouldn't grow up to become a man...or so the story goes...

In reality Peter was born Penny and always felt she was a little boy trapped in a little girls body. The thought of growing up to be a woman was more than she could bear, and that's why she really ran off to Neverland. There she could secretly pose as a boy and no one would ever be the wiser...

Except Captain Hook found out! That's why he chased Peter so, not because he wanted Peter dead, but because he knew the truth and was secretly in love with Penny! He wanted to take Penny back to the real world where she would grow up into a beautiful woman and they could live together...Happily ever after.

Felicitous sentiment...

"Such a lovely smile"...
etc, etc, etc...

These are simple but fleeting compliments that, although flattering and nice to hear, often mean very little to the complimentor, nor the complimentee. Today I received one of the most ardent commendations that I can remember to date

"You are a strong person"

So simple in it's statement, but eternally powerful in the meaning... Thank-you seems not nearly powerful enough a response to such high esteem, but it is all that I have...Thank-you!

post-Zombie Walk

Well, the Zombie walk was today...it was..er...interesting...and no, I didn't go in costume. There weren't nearly as many people down there as I thought there would be, but it was fun to watch none the less. I managed to get a few good shots, but mostly the group was too spread out to acheive what I was hoping to...

Urban Artwork photo collection

I carry my digital camera with me everywhere I go...just in case I see something that I need to take a photo of.

One of the projects that I have been working on over the last while is a collection of photos of the abundant public art in the central core of the city. I have created an album of some of my favorites on Yahoo photos, if anyone is interested.
