why? you might ask

in an attempt to compile a list of the quintessential Canadian music!

more than the tragically hip or barenaked ladies
(good, but not great)
only starting with classicas like bto and neil young
(you ain't seen nothin' yet! was an understatement)
and intentionally leaving out shania and celine
(does anyone in canada really listen to this?)
