(A Brighter outlook) Life's a bowl of...

...ORANGES

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

So that is how I learned the lesson that everyone is alone.
And your eyes must do some raining if you are ever going to grow.
But when crying don't help and you can't compose yourself.
It is best to compose a poem, an honest longing or simple song of hope.
-"Bowl of Oranges - Bright Eyes

There has been a shift in the cosmos...or at least a lift in my mood. As many of you know, I have been feeling down for quite some time. I have had a very trying year so far with death in the (extended) family, the end of a very close friendship, and struggling through a job that I loath, and the trials of looking for a new one...but this evening on the way home from work, the lyrics above struck a chord in me... YES!, I may be stuck in a rut, YES!, I may be missing several people in my life quite a lot, NO! I may not know who I am or where my life is going, but I can't let that keep me in a funk. It is an extremely unhealthy state to be in and as of today, I have decided to try my best to keep a more balanced view on things. I have my health (or at the very least I don't have any nagging ailments), I have a loving family and great friends (despite my ridiculousness at keeping in touch with them, they seem to stand by me), and I feel better when I am in a good mood (trying to remember that is the hard part even though it seems like an obvious statement).

Here's to silver linings (and any other cliché that may be appropriate)!

Sleepy HNT (#4)

Ahhhhh...sleep.

Usually a place od solace and comfort, but not for the past few nights. I have been plagued with nightmares for nearly a week now. Not all the same and not really all that scary sometimes, but enough to keep me from getting a full nights rest...

I am so tired...

Happy Half-Nekkid Thursday everyone!!!

At least it's a minority! We're not completely doomed....Thanks
for the advice! I'm in that whole "What am I going to do with the rest of my
life" stage, and the more I learn about interior design, the more I'm falling in
love with it.

thoughts and revelations

Sometimes friendships don't work out...whatever the reason (or reasons) may be.
I have lost track of who I really am, and have been unkind to some people along the way, to all of those whom I have hurt...please know that I am sorry.

Ok...now it really is Half-Nekkid Thursday...

They (whoever they really are) say the eyes are the windows to the soul...What could be more nekkid (or half-nekkid if you will) than exposing one's soul to the world?

Happy HNT everyone!

I was never informed of this half-naked Thursday! Maybe I didn't get the memo. It sounds like a good tradition to start. Great site by the way! :)

...almost Thursday

I didn't have a chance to take a new photo for the occation, so I had to resort to editing an existing one. Taken in the early fall when the sun was glorious and warm...oh how I love the sun...some might say I am more feline than human in this regard...

Happy Half-Nekkid Thursday everyone!!!

So, Mr. J and I have spent a great deal of time looking through countless interpretations of BATGIRL! And I did a little doodle of my Batgirl for him...he insisted that I post the darn thing, so here it is!

Half-Nekkid virgin...

I am very new to the world of blogs, but have recently become quite fond of them, and all they have to offer...

My inner exhibitionist found this far too appealing to pass up...

45113638_202b79dc11

and so I decided to participte (yeah, that's right, I'm a joiner)

A story to go with my very first HNT picture...These are my legs...pictured with one of my very favorite items of architecture...stairs. I dream of one day haveing a house of my own with a fantastic stircase...the dream lives on in the art on my walls for the time being. Anyway...this is my first HNT...but I think there will be more...

HAPPY HALF-NEKKID THURSDAY EVERYONE!!!

Half-Nekkid Thursday...

The exhibitionist in me loves this!

45113638_202b79dc11

As Osbasso says in the guidlines ""Nekkid" is not the same as nude! ... nude qualifies, but it is not a requirement!" I have perused the blogs of the many participants, and feel that this may be something that I could participate in as well...and tomorrow being Thursday...well, I guess we'll just have to wait and see if the exhibitionist or my self consciousness win the battle...

Appropriate noise levels for apartment dwellers: 3:30pm vs. 10:30pm.

I recieved my first noise complaint today...although it was a rebuttal to my complaint to their noise.

Free Image Hosting at www.ImageShack.us
My wall was vibrating at 10:30 pm due to movie night in the next apartment (they were watching something with loud airplaines...lol), and when I went over she nicely agreed to turn down the t.v., but asked me if I was new to the building because she heard my music this afternoon? And, as I thought back...yes, I did have the stereo on quite loud (which it has been since I recieved the darling for Christmas), but it was 3:30 in the afternoon. I simply responded by letting her know all she had to do if I was ever too loud was come on over and knock on the door, thanked her for turning the t.v. down, and bid her good night.

life...(and shopping)

Life happens in the moments between phone calls missed and messages unheard...
Life happens while the hours drag past during the days spent at work...
LIfe happens ... even if you don't happen with it.

Hmmm...not sure why, but I'm in a bit of a funk. I had a very good day (what day filled with CD and shoe shopping, movies and a trip to the zoo can be bad?), but somehow I feel unsatisfied...maybe my blood sugar is low, I guess I'll go and eat some dinner.... (and listen to my new CDs).
